The AN911H can operate at high pressure (180-320 PSI). With the power to consistently drive larger nails into dense materials like OSB, LVL and glue lam, it gives framing contractors one nailer to handle a range of framing needs. The AN911H has a superior power to weight ratio: it's up to 30% more compact with up to 30% less weight than a conventional nailer. It weighs only 5.3 pounds yet holds up to 300 nails in sizes ranging from 1-3/4-inch to 3-1/2-inch x .162-inch shank diameter.

With increased pressure for driving each nail, the AN911H delivers more consistent flush nailing. "Tool-less" depth adjustments have been engineered to provide the option of precise flush or countersink nailing, and a two-mode selector trigger switch allows the user to select sequential or contact driving options.

The AN911H has an easy-load nail canister and a see-through window, with a nail size adjustment base for increased productivity. The canister base adjusts easily for various nail sizes, delivering faster, more efficient loading for increased productivity. For user comfort, there are large rubberized grips and a tool hook to keep the nailer close by while not in use.

The Bostitch pneumatic coil framing nailer is designed to be impressively rugged and powerful. The N89C-1 has a patented push-button adjustable depth guide to set nails at precisely the desired depths, quickly and conveniently, with minimal downtime between jobs. It also features an adjustable exhaust to direct cast-off air away from your face and your workpiece, for a clearer view of your project.

This model has a driving power of 1,050 in./lbs., and it accepts 15-degree coil framing fasteners from 2 inches to 3-1/2 inches (.099 - .148-inch shank). It operates at 70-120 psi, with a 1/4-inch NPT thread fitting. The N89C-1 has a magazine that holds up to 300 nails. -- Cherie Priest

Choosing a Pneumatic Nailer
For small household jobs, an old-fashioned hammer is the perfect stand-by. But if you've got a bigger project on your to-do list, then a pneumatic power nailer could be your new best friend. Pneumatic nailers are a great alternative to traditionally powered nailers, because they're capable of providing more power -- and they operate with fewer moving parts, so a pneumatic nailer can take more abuse than its corded or battery-run cousins.

A Word on Air Compressors
All pneumatic tools require a steady supply of controlled, compressed air in order to work properly, and nailers are no exception. Bigger compressors with hardy motors and large tanks generate higher PSI levels and maintain them longer, so you'll probably want a piston-type, two-stage compressor to power your nailer. Smaller or single-stage models are fine for little projects, but if you need a pneumatic nailer, the odds are good that you're looking for some intense PSI and CFM ratings. Sometimes, a pneumatic nailer will come with its own compressor -- or it can be purchased as part of an air tool set.

How Pneumatic Nailers Work
Pneumatic nailers use compressed air power to cock and release the hammer. In order to fire a fastener, a valve opens to let air fill a cylinder -- which has a piston that's driven down hard and fast. This forces the nail out of the gun and into your workpiece. Then the piston recoils, and another nail is loaded.

Important Points to Consider
Check manufacturer's guidelines to find out what pressure (PSI) and volume (CFM) of air will give your pneumatic nailer the best results. Also, keep in mind that any restrictions on the air hose will diminish the tool's performance. Hoses that are very long, contain too much moisture, or are incorrectly sized will reduce air flow. This can prematurely wear out your tool and cause it to perform poorly.

General Features
Most models will feature a rubber nosepiece to prevent scuffing and marring of your workpieces, plus an exhaust system (rear or adjustable) to keep sawdust and debris out of your face and away from your project. Pneumatic nailers usually have an adjustable depth of drive, and depending on the model, they can accommodate nails up to 2-1/2 inches long, in a variety of different gauge sizes. With a powerful enough compressor behind them, they can shoot thousands of nails a day.

Compact Size for Driving Nails in Tight Spaces
The PN100 Impact Nailer is compact at just 4.13 x 3.50 x 5.25 inches (LxWxH), so it is perfect for driving nails in confined spaces, such as between floor joists. The PN100 is also incredibly comfortable to maneuver--it weighs just 2.9 pounds and fits in the palm of your hand.

An included leather work glove provides additional comfort during operation.

Designed for Flexibility on the Job
The PN100K Impact Nailer Kit comes equipped with three separate noses: a standard nose, a finish nail nose, and a large bore nose. For convenience, each attachment is magnetic and features a recessed slot for holding the nails securely in place.

With its three nose attachments, the PN100K can handle a wide variety of jobs, including finish nailing, trim work, construction, metal connector nailing, remodeling work, and more.

The PN100 Impact Nailer is able to drive nails of different sizes from 5D to 70D bulk nails. Additionally, it can handle different types of nails, including common bulk finish, framing and timber nails.

Pneumatic Tool That's Easy to Use
The PN100 is a pneumatic tool which requires 70-100 psi air pressure for optimal performance. It also requires 2-4 cubic feet per minute of air flow for operation.

Compressor
The 150 psi max compressor stores more air than traditional 135 psi compressors, increasing productivity by allowing for more nails to be driven. Its 6-gallon tank also improves upon the quantity of nails that can be deployed on a single tank charge. A standard household current supports this 120-volt electric unit, and its innovative shroud and 34-pound weight advances protection and portability.

Nailers and Stapler
The FN250C finish nailer utilizes standard 16-gauge finish nails from 1 inch to 2-1/2 inches long, and it features an internal piston catch for consistent maximum power on every shot and a rear exhaust to keep contaminates away from work. Its oil- and maintenance-free motor prevents oil from staining the work surface and extends tool life. The BN138 narrow-crown brad nailer uses standard 18-gauge brad nails from 5/8 inches to 1-3/8 inches long. It too comes with a long-life motor, and it has a tool-free depth-of-drive adjustment with detents for proper setting of nail heads (as does the FN250C). And the NS100B stapler dispenses standard 18-gauge 1/4-inch staples from 1/2 inch to 1 inch long. Like the nailers, the stapler also features an internal piston catch; additionally, it has a split-nose design for easy removal of jammed staples, a sequential-style trigger with lock-off switch, and a removable non-marring nose tip.

Hitachi's superior design and engineering make this a top-of-the-list choice for a framing nailer, just as hardworking as the NR83 model that preceded it, but with a few major improvements.

We like the way Hitachi's integrated both types of trigger, so there's no need to replace anything – just flip the lever on the tool down for bump or up for sequential firing. Also tool-free is the depth-of-fire adjustment: Just turn a small knob to set your depth. It's even easier than adjusting the air pressure.

This nailer has a 21-degree angled magazine and fires nails from 2 inches to 3-1/2 inches, a wider range than the old NR83 handled. Loading is much faster and easier on this gun, too, because Hitachi's redesign repositioned the loading mechanism at the rear of the magazine. A maximum of 64 plastic-strip collated full round head nails will fit in the magazine, but reloading takes a few seconds, so there's no downside to that. This is one of the most jam-free guns we've used; it just fires and fires. Should you find a way to jam it, the procedure to clear the jam is super fast and couldn't be easier.

The balance of this tool is incredible; at a relatively light 7-1/2 pounds, you'd expect to feel a little strain after using this gun for a few hours, but the ergonomics are fantastic. Hats off to Hitachi on this redesign. And of course, you'll notice immediately the difference in appearance between this gun and its predecessor. The Bostitch story
Originally known as the Boston Wire Stitcher Company, the first syllables of the words "Boston" and "Stitcher" were joined to make Bostitch, and the name was adopted for product use after the manufacture of machines began. Thomas Briggs, the founder, invented in 1896 a new kind of user friendly Wire Stitcher designed for fastening books, calendars, checks, hat boxes, etc. This machine made a staple or stitch as it was called from a coil of wire. It was called the Boston Wire Stitcher and the company was named the Boston Wire Stitcher Company. In 1903 the company invented a foot operated stapling machine that used pre-formed staples. These staples were not collated but had to be slid off of a track into the magazine of the machine. Later they were collated with paper and then glue. Soon the Boston Wire Stitcher Company was developing various kinds of staplers for industrial markets. In 1930 the Bostitch Sales Company was formed to sell Bostitch products, and in 1948 the Boston Wire Stitcher Company officially became Bostitch, Inc. The first Coil Nailer from Bostitch, the N2, came on the scene in 1965, and the rest is history. Today, Bostitch sells a huge range of nailers, compressors, and other products, and is a leader in the industry.

The NR90GR gas-powered nail delivery system is a powerful alternative to traditional pneumatic nailers. With no annoying hoses to wind, this nailer is capable of driving up to two nails per second and 1,000 nails per hour. A single battery charge will fire about 4,000 nails and a fuel rod will fire about 1,200 nails, which means you'll get the job done quicker.The NR90GR fires up to 3.5 x 0.131-inch round-head nails, whereas most of the competition falls off at 3-1/4 inches. This allows for maximum flexibility when working on various materials and applications. The adjustable depth-of-drive nose piece ensures each nail gets seated properly to suit the workpiece.
User-Friendly Design Reduces Downtime
With an easy two-step nail-loading procedure, the NR90GR will help you reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Simply slide the attached strip of nails into the magazine and release the feeder to lock the nails in place--you'll be ready to go within seconds. An E-Z view feature on the magazine prevents untimely reloads and keeps you on task.
For further ease of use, the NR90GR utilizes a six-nail lockout feature for preventing accidental dry firing of the nailer and ensuring proper loading and firing at all times. Additionally, the fuel rod door is double locked to eliminate accidental opening of the fuel-latch door during operation. A low-battery indicator gives you plenty of warning for your next recharge.
Designed for Comfort, Control, and Portability
Like all Hitachi tools, the NR90GR is ergonomically designed to enhance comfort and control on the job. To start, the nailer weighs just 7.9 pounds and features a well-balanced design that minimizes user fatigue and allows for easy one-handed operation. Additionally, the handle is wrapped in Elastomer compound to reduce vibration and prevent slippage for ultimate control. A collapsible rafter hook provides additional convenience by allowing you to hang the nailer from a rafter when both of your hands are needed.
